Encouraging good behaviour in children is all about giving positive reinforcement, which means giving praise, playing and giving your time.
This will guide your child to behave in the way you want.
Sadly telling them off, saying “NO”, nagging, smacking and repeatedly warning also reinforces behaviour. So if you don’t want your child to do something, don’t do any of these things.
